What division is the team in…what are some short term goals?

The team will compete in the Regional level 3 division of the Central Soccer League in 2010. Short term goals are; obviously to conquer top spot in league competition; also to participate in as many college showcase tournaments as possible in order to maximize the exposure of our young talents to college coaches all across North America.

How long have they been working with this particular team?

Been working with the Sting since inception in 2003. They have developed immensely from being below average soccer players into a fairly skilled and technically sound team. Their growth as soccer players and as young men has been outstanding and commendable.

What coaching credentials have you attained?

A certified senior level coach with over twenty years of coaching experience; coached at different levels of competition – including multijurisdictional, regional and provincial; with various leagues namely; CESL, CSL, CGSL, OYSL and OSL. Achieved over the years: tournament championships, league and league cup champions, Ontario Cup semi-finalist.

What is your history with North Scarborough Soccer Club?

Joined North Scarborough S.C. – then Agincourt S.C. – in 1991. Served as a house league coach for one year before joining their rep. program as a team head coach. Been a rep coach to present and currently completing my third tenure with a youth rep team seeing all team through to the duration of their youth years. Coached NSSC men OSL team for five seasons. Has served on the NSSC executive committee for the last fifteen years.

What are some of Goals/Aspirations you have set for your Team/ Players, which will have a positive affect on their future as players and as a person during their adult lives?

The goals and aspirations for the NSSC Sting have always been to prepare these young men for adulthood through mentorship and training. We Endeavour to provide them with the tools necessary to cultivate the proper attitude and character that will allow them, through their special talent-soccer, the opportunity to gain a good education and sound life skills and values so they can take their rightful place in society, where they too can become role models for the youths after them.
